Lee Legleiter’s practice emphasizes several areas of the law, including general business law and corporate practice, estate and business succession planning, trust and probate administration, energy law, real estate law, and employee benefits. Lee has comprehensive experience representing businesses during formation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, entity ownership issues, and other general business matters. He also assists individuals and families with simple and complex estate plans, including wills, trusts, and other succession planning techniques. Lee’s practice encourages frequent client contact, ensuring a client’s comfort with their decisions.
In addition, Lee has represented numerous clients in negotiating wind energy leases. He regularly negotiates on behalf of single land owners, but he has also represented groups of land owners who seek joint representation. In some instances, he has represented over 50 separate land owners for a proposed wind energy development. The negotiations frequently occur with national developers of wind farm projects.
Lee also assists a number of community organizations as a board member and volunteer. He presently serves as a director for the Greater Salina Community Foundation, Salina Downtown, Inc. (President 2017-18), and is a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Finance Council. Previously, Lee served on the board of directors for the Coronado Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Salina Area Young Professionals, and chaired the Salina 2020 Vision Committee.
Lee is a native of Hays, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University where he graduated magna cum laude with Bachelors of Science degrees in Marketing and Management. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in May 2011. While in law school, he earned a certificate in business and commercial law. Lee resides in Salina with his wife, Sarah, and their children.
